“Maybe we introduce a 5-30 minutes delay in the sending of conversation and within that window, it is possible to edit because the matter with moving longer than this is it requires that real-time nature of the conversational flow out of it,” 9To5Mac quoted Twitter chief executive officer (CEO) Jack Dorsey as stating at a podcast interview on Saturday.
On the site lacks the feature, Dorsey said the platform was constructed on the SMS format of text messaging.
“Once you send a text, then you can’t take it back. When you ship a tweet, it goes to the entire world instantaneously. You can’t take it back.”
Dorsey first addressed the possibility of incorporating an edit feature for tweets in December 2016, depending on the Twitterati’s suggestions.
Twitter was lately testing a brand new feature on Android that puts news reports on top of the timeline to help users keep up with what’s going on around the world.
