Scope and Placement

The university has a dedicated and separateUniversity Students Counselling and Placement Cell (USCPC) unit, established in 2007,concerning with strengthening the process of providing the best suited possible career options, developing personality, creating scope for improving skills, and other human resource development activities of the students at TANUMAS.

This unit was founded by realizing the importance of education research in animal and fisheries sciences, and to increase productivity and income of the poor farmers. In a rapidly changing environment, USCPC catersto the need of the university students for their placements in various reputed institutions/organizations within our country and abroad.

USCPC offers many services to TANUVAS scholars including core elements. These include – Career Advice and Guidance, Information on Courses, Job Fairs, Presentations, Talks and Workshops Coaching for Competitive Examinations.

Apart from this, the remuneration you may be offered after completion of these courses in the government and public sectors is quite good. The average salary offered to the professionals completing this course in India may range between INR 1.8 to 7.8 Lakhs annually, which increases with experience and expertise. The organizations in various other countries such as Australia and USA offer lucrative salaries to theseveterinary, food technology, poultry and bioinformatics professionals.

So the answer to the question is – Yes. The various undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered at TANUVAS assure you jobs in multiple domains. One major reason being, the lower saturation-level as compared to other professional courses. It is evident from the facts and figures that despite well-scoped, the courses offered at TANUVAS are not yet very famous amongst the Science-steam students.

Students rather prefer the other courses like B.Tech. in other streams., MCA, MBBS, BDS, and more. With the ‘veterinary/food technology/poultry/bioinformatics’ tag, students and even their parents tend to ignore these prestigious courses. This in turn results in relatively lesser takers for these courses. And hence low job saturation too. So this indeed is a smarter choice for you to opt one of the discussed courses.
