As per previous rumours, Apple is set to unveil two new models with OLED displays, and a cheaper one with an LCD panel during its iPhone event after this year.A report by Chinese book Feng on Wednesday reveals states the new CGS display – while creating the smartphone impact resistant and lighter complete – will not support 3D Touch. The lack of 3D Twist on the more economical 6.1-inch iPhone was tipped before. The report adds that the cost of the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone’s touch panel will increase 15 percent because of the usage of a thin-film detector on top of this touch-film sensor. Why Apple is using the thin-film sensor isn’t understood right now. Apple also reportedly has plans to utilize CGS procedure on all iPhone variations in the 2019 lineup.
According to Kuo, Apple’s suppliers will be in for a treat as earnings will rise slightly thanks to the rise in price of the signature panel.
Earlier this week, a report had suggested that the LCD iPhone might be costly $200 (roughly Rs. 13,200) lower than the other two OLED models.
