So many people out there really don’t know what to do because of all of these diet books lying and giving everyone the wrong information on how to really lose weight. Half of this stuff is really unhealthy for your body in the long run. Never fall for gimmicks like extremely low carbs. Now fairly reduced carbs intake is ok.
These diets want you to focus on one macronutrient vs. Another. Your body needs all the macronutrients I can get and absorb a variety of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, etc. The most important thing is that your diet needs to be natural and unprocessed. The over processing of food is what makes a diet unhealthy, and makes it totally crash your metabolism and hormonal balance in your body.
The key is to focus on the intensity of your workouts and focus on working the body as a whole, meaning you must work on your legs, back, and chest. Most people work on small body parts like the calves, biceps, triceps, and the abs that’s why they never get the results they want. Your workout must be very intense with short intervals of rest in between them. Forget those stupid floor exercises like crunches and situps.
There OK for you all who really aren’t in shape, but for those of you who are very well conditioned situps and crunches provide very little stimulus. In fact crunches provides the least amount of resistance of all the floor exercises. I want you guys to always remember that resistance is the key to really developing and toning your muscles. One of the highest resistance workouts for your abs is hanging leg raises. Not the ones you see everyone doing in the gym. You must curl your pelvis up as you raise your legs in order to work the living hell out of your abs. In order to gain maximum definition in your abs and mid section you must lose that stubborn body fat.
The most effective exercises and workouts for this is forms of swings and snatches (unique dumbbell or kettlebell exercises that almost nobody ever does in normal gyms), squats, dead lifts, lunges, step-ups, cleans & presses, mountain climbers, sprinting, and other full body exercises and calisthenics.
