For what its worth, Anthem isn’t worth picking up in its existing state if our time with the game is any indication. There are a plethora of design and technical problems which make playing through BioWare’s latest far from a fun experience. And with Destiny two seeing a slew of improvements and The Section two appearing to be promising, there is very little reason to spend time into Anthem till its updates fix its myriad of issues, making us wonder why the game was released in the country it is in to start with. More so when you consider EA CEO Andrew Wilson’s comments regarding Anthem’s shift in release date in 2018.
“Regardless of how it’s being depicted, we are not seem at that as a delay, we’ve selected to launch Anthem in [the fourth quarter]. The date is preferred by portfolio balance, not product readiness,” EA CEO Andrew Wilson stated in a call to investors at the time. “And we are really excited by how the new Battlefield is forming up. It probably does not make too much sense to launch Anthem right by it. As a brand new IP, it probably makes sense to give [Anthem] its own launch window.”
Anthem India release date
Considering EA’s India supplier is Amazon, it is unlikely that we’ll see the game release early. If anything, expect Amazon to provide Anthem on launch date in the best.
